Tucson Podiatrist, Dr. Alan Shih is the lead podiatrist at Head to Toe Heathcare. Dr. Shih has a B.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan.  After receiving his bachelor's degree Dr. Shih enrolled at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by an internship and residency program at the Southern Arizona VA Medical center.

After schooling, Dr. Shih completed 4 years of residency; culminating with the highest level of surgical training available in Chicago, and honed his surgical skills by spending 2 years at a level-one trauma center in Chicago. Shih eceived specialized training on the Ilizarov technique, acquiring skills that few others in his field have aquired.

Dr. Shih is one of the few podiatrists in Tucson AZ, and the world for that matter, to have received specialized and advanced training at the Dellon Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery, affiliated with the world renowned John Hopkins School of Medicine.  Shih received his training along side an international group of about 200 Plastic Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, and Podiatric Surgeon.

A member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Shih is currently working in close collaboration with the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona Medical Center, with the goal of advancing the understanding of disease of the foot, leg, and ankle.
